The Sampson County History Museum is located in Downtown Clinton, 313 Lisbon Street, Clinton NC 28328.
Thursday through Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm
Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
Free Admission. Donations are greatly appreciated.
There is ample parking in front of the main building as well as on the side of the museum. Visitors are also encouraged to park in the City Market parking lot on Lisbon Street and walk to the museum.
School Groups & Tours
Hundreds of students tour the museum each year as they dive into Sampson County’s rich heritage. Please call the main office at (910) 590-0007 during business hours to schedule your tour group. For smaller groups, reservations are not required, however it is recommended for groups of 6 or more to make a reservation. Please call during regular business hours to schedule your tour at least 1 week in advance.
Length of Stay
Stop by and visit the museum for 30 minutes or two hours. A full tour consists of exploring all eleven buildings with a recommended time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Currently, eight buildings are handicap accessible.
Photography is allowed as long as artifacts are left untouched and not disrupted.
